Our Presenter:

Amanda Ellis
Editor in Chief, Livability.com

As Editor in Chief of Livability.com, Amanda Ellis leads the site’s content strategy and voice, reaching millions of site visitors every year with content about our nation’s small-to-medium sized cities and why they’re great places to live. Amanda also directs Livability Media’s industry content for chamber, economic development and talent attraction professionals, including the Inside America’s Best Cities podcast, Let’s Talk Talent newsletter and regular research on American relocation habits. She travels the country to speak about Livability’s research findings, trends in talent attraction and retention and how communities can become talent magnets.

Prior to leading Livability.com, Amanda worked with a boutique PR agency and before that spent nearly 8 years as Marketing & Communications Manager with the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce in Chattanooga, Tennessee (where she is still based). There she served as lead writer and editor for the largest business organization in a region of 1 million people. She helped promote the Chattanooga area nationally while serving 2,000 Chamber member businesses, and her efforts contributed to millions of annual impressions about her home city.

Amanda’s favorite thing about being part of the economic development industry is playing a part in creating life-changing opportunities for people – whether it’s a move to start fresh, a great job opportunity or anything that helps someone create a life they love. Amanda is a graduate of Nashville’s Belmont University.
